About

The Collectif Jeune Cinéma is a filmmakers’ cooperative founded in Paris in 1971. Its mission is to distribute, promote, and preserve different and experimental films, as well as all forms of experimental practices in image, film, and video. Each year, the CJC organizes the Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris, established in 1999, and programs regular monthly screenings in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Its catalogue currently includes more than 2,000 films by around 550 filmmakers, covering a very broad spectrum of international cinematic aesthetics and practices.
