“Közért” (Public) was a government-owned chain of stores in Hungary during the communist period (1948-1989). The word Közért is still used in Hungarian. Our film was made from raw 35mm celluloid advertising footage: the film strips were buried in the ground, decomposed with food and cut into pieces.
