An algorithm explores the web by indexing images with faces. These images, which number in the millions, are classified by proximity of facial features using a neural network. Displayed one after the other, the found images produce an animation that evolves in the whole frame: anonymous people merge with old and contemporary celebrities along surprising transitions, and a meta-face seems to emerge in a new heterogeneous and disruptive space, which keeps on generating itself. The visual component of Big Data is thus playfully transposed in the form of a frame-by-frame animation, which joins the cinematic device at its origins.
