Synopsis
Confined in their flat in Berlin Spring 2020, a mother and her 7 years old son direct a short fantastic movie using their clothes hanger, a shiny hula hoop and a lamp, transforming their corridor into a ghostly and experimental place, inhabited by gamelan sounds.
What is the origin of your film?
At the beginning of the confinement, we made a family Escape game from Astrapi with flashlights in the house. The effect of the flashlights with our clothesline was huge, we talked about it and decided to make a film about it!
Could you explain your choice of editing?
The images were already mysterious, so we decided to make an even more mysterious music together, with four hands, on a MIDI keyboard! The editing of the images was guided by the music we made, but in the end we didn’t have to edit a lot of sequences, because everything fell into place a little bit by itself, as if by magic.
