-15 & 15-17,9 YEAR OLD FILMMAKERS

For this 26th edition of the FCDEP, the Collectif Jeune Cinéma is showcasing a rich selection of films by young filmmakers under the age of 18. Open and international, this screening showcases free and original artistic approaches, regardless of means or experience. Initially received in two separate calls for films, aimed at under-15s and 15-17.9s, this year the films will be shown in a joint session for all ages. Ranging from purely formal experiments to film-essays, mockumentaries and animated films, this protean selection celebrates the unbridled creativity of young filmmakers who allow themselves to experiment to their heart’s content. It also bears witness to the political and social preoccupations of a generation committed to the issues of today’s world. This unclassifiable screening invites laughter, contemplation and rage, and fills anxious hearts with hope as they stare at the troubled horizon of our shared futures.
