Rules

Art.1 - We accept submissions of experimental films and video only from 2023 and 2024.

Art.2 - No more than 3 films per filmmaker can be sent. All durations will be considered.

Art.3 - Online preview have to be provided. DVDs will not be accepted. All films in a language other than french must be subtitled in french or english.

Art.4 - Submissions fees are free of charge. Film submission deadline : May 15th, 2024.

Art.5 - Films are selected in the international competition by the selection committee, composed of 8 members of CJC. Submitters will be notified of their film status July 30, 2024 at the latest. Selected filmmaker will have two weeks to notify their selection : once the selection is validated by the filmmaker/producer, it is not possible to withdraw the film from our festival.

Art.6 - The festival cannot take in charge the renting of a selected film.

Art.7 - FCDEP enables screenings of the following formats: DCP, 35 mm, 16 mm, Super 8, digital files.

Art.8 - All selected films must have english subtitles, except for english speaking films. A dialogue list must be provided. If possible, please provide french subtitles. Festival screenings will have both english and french subtitles. Subtitles must not be hardcoded.

Art.9 - The screening copy of the film must be delivered to the address of our office no later than by August 10, 2024. The FCDEP covers the shipment costs of celluloid prints, unless agreed otherwise. Digital files have to be uploaded or FTP server of other services (wetransfer, dropbox, …).

Art.10 - Film excerpts might be used for the promotion of the festival (trailer, catalogue, newspaper).

Art.11 - The films selected for the competition program will be included in the virtual video library for profesionnals only.

Art.12 - The FCDEP cannot take in charge travel cost for filmmakers living outside of Paris. However, if a selected filmmaker wishes to attend the festival on its own costs, CJC’ team will happily help organizing the travel.

Art.13 - The selected films will be screened in the International Competition program, both in theater and (with the filmmaker permission) online as a one-time live-stream.

Art.14 - The jury (not yet decided) will award 5 films, in a non-hierarchical order. The award is symbolic, no prize will be given.

Art.15 - Selected filmmakers can become members of Collectif Jeune Cinéma and add their selected film to CJC’s catalogue.
