Synopsis
Jus Soli is a discourse on the black experience in England, interrupting the emotional transition between generations and questioning what it means to be English. Combining archival footage, filmed scenes, sounds and images, the film provides a depiction of a Britain reluctant to give up its colonial powers and sheds a harsh light on the underrepresented tragedy of the New Cross House fire where thirteen young Englishmen lost their lives.
