Synopsis
Director Moira Tierney created this short film during a trip to Russia with a group of experimental film artists. Tierney and her friends noticed that at the same time every morning, a man was bathing in the icy waters of Lake Seliger, not far from Moscow. One day, Tierney filmed this man’s daily ritual; Morzh (aka Walrus) is a cinematic portrait of what she calls a “polar bear from the towers of Moscow”.
