Synopsis
“WRITE A POEM” focuses on production conditions and the mind of a young artist struggling with compassion fatigue, desensitization, exhaustion, and stress due to information overload in an era where 328.77 million terabytes of data are generated daily. This ironic and satirical video poem, exploring the pathological dimension of chaos with references to popular culture, archival, and social media footages, invites artists to contemplate possibilities of production inspired by current experiences and observations, in contrast to the conventional notion of art as an escape.
