The Beach

3D animations mixed with amateur video footage of the filmmaker’s family at the seaside in 1996, observing the scene through parallel perspectives between past and present. By recreating water, sand and heat, the beach becomes a place of exchange between present anxieties and past joys. Time tears at the seams of the beach and the video itself; and as the work transforms under the effect of elemental forces, sensations of nostalgia and loss invade the day, but also release it into the rhythm of time.
