Synopsis
Composed almost entirely of archival footage, both found and from the artist’s family archives, this film interrogates the relationships between toxic white masculinity, family, home and trans-identity. The use of the artist’s memories and experiences, seen through a queer prism, becomes a tool for expanding the archival possibilities of transgender bodies. Unconcerned with chronology and devoid of any form or resolution, Homme-Sick thus attempts to queerify the very notion of archive, and ultimately that of gender.
