Synopsis
A very special duck à l’orange… ”Éclats d’Orphée’ impressionistically captured performances of ‘Orphéon’ directed by François Tanguy. This new familiarity with the world of theater enabled the filmmaker to conceive, with ‘Canard à l’orange’, his most readable film, which playfully rebounds on ‘L’Ange’ to sketch out another artistic autobiography of the author. Bokanowski relies here on the burlesque element that inhabits some of his earlier films. Disguised as a cook, the artist attempts to accommodate a mischievous duck. The duck, like all the ingredients in the recipe (vegetables, sauce), dodges and flits around the room, just as the elements of the filmmaker’s visual universe escape from him to become autonomous Raphaël Bassan
