Set in the futuristic ruins of +Colonia, Latin America’s first ‘smart city’ currently under construction, UNKRNS: SMART ANGELS INC. tells the love story of an angel investor and a unicorn startup: two mythological creatures that have resurfaced as figures of technocratic entrepreneurship. Blending video game engine worlds with live-action scenes across intertwined timelines, the film explores recurring cycles of power and technological desire while imagining new narratives for digital infrastructures from the South.
