*How I Became Famous* follows a young dog groomer whose daily life is filled with animals she loves deeply. After a cycling accident, she embarks on a solitary journey into the desert where, lost both physically and emotionally, she sets out in search of some form of recognition. Through the creation of videos for YouTube, she attempts to become a famous figure, transforming her wanderings into a personal narrative. Made exclusively from around thirty videos found on YouTube, the film explores the mechanisms of visibility, the desire to be seen, contemporary notions of online fame, and also loneliness.
