Synopsis
An authoritarian woman directs several men renovating a villa in a small Hungarian town. It is through the actress’ meticulous sequential movements that a possible narrative rooted in her formal nature unfolds. Dabernig’s famous actress, Ingeburg Wurzer, plays her role superbly, moving through the town in concentric circles to supervise and discipline the men performing their assigned tasks. With a certain irony, the filmmaker delights in detailing the settings, architecture and culture of a former communist country.
