Synopsis
The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye tells the story of artist Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and his wife and artistic partner, Lady Jaye, who for love decided to merge into a single entity. A major artist of the New York avant-garde of the last 30 years, considered́ as one of the fathers of industrial music (Coum Transmission, Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV), Genesis has challenged the limits of art and biology. In 2000, Genesis began a series of operations to resemble Lady Jaye, a risky, ambitious and subversive performance. The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye recounts this ultimate act of love and devotion.
